Before use
Before you begin your treatment, make sure to cleanse your face thoroughly. Make a habit of double-cleansing your face regularly to ensure you remove all impurities and makeup residue. A double cleanser is an excellent step before using your Skinroller PRO.
Disinfect your Skinroller
Here you should use Skinroller's own sanitizing spray, Clean Sanitizing Spray, alternatively a disinfecting product containing at least 70% alcohol. This is a critical step in the process. If you do not have a suitable cleanser on hand, you should hold off on the treatment until you have disinfectant at home.
Using the Skinroller PRO
As a new user of the Skinroller PRO, you should use the 0.5 mm needle length. We recommend using your Skinroller PRO once a week to give your skin time to repair itself after the controlled micro-injuries. Microneedling is a scientifically developed method to increase collagen production, which prevents wrinkles and reduces the visibility of scars, pigmentation, and stretch marks.
Rolling technique for the face
Divide your face into four sections: forehead, chin, cheeks, and nose/mouth. Roll with light pressure upwards, downwards, and diagonally in both directions. Perform 8-10 strokes in each direction and lift the tool after each stroke for a gentler treatment. Finish with the neck and décolletage using the same principle.
Aftercare and hygiene
After completing the treatment, disinfect your Skinroller PRO and place it in its protective case. Apply plenty of serum so the active ingredients can penetrate the skin. Feel free to follow up with an eye serum, face cream, or a hydrating sleep mask.
Replace your Skinroller and evaluate the results
After 10-12 uses, it is time to replace your Skinroller PRO to ensure hygiene and optimal needle sharpness. At this point, you can reflect on the results and decide whether to progress to the 1.0 mm needle length or continue with 0.5 mm. If in doubt, we recommend a consultation with a skin therapist.
Choosing needle length based on treatment area
For the face, 0.25 mm to 1.0 mm is suitable. For the body, such as thighs and stomach, you can use 1.5 mm as the skin there is more resilient.
Guide for needle lengths
0.25 mm: For thin skin around the eyes, sensitive skin (e.g., Rosacea), and improved absorption in the scalp.
0.5 mm: For the face, neck, décolletage, fine lines, superficial scars, and mild hair loss treatment.
1.0 mm: For deeper scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and advanced hair loss treatment.
1.5 mm: For thicker skin on thighs, stomach, and arms, as well as treating stretch marks and cellulite.
Combine with a serum
For best results, you can combine your Skinroller with a serum tailored to your needs. Microneedling creates microchannels that significantly increase the absorption of active ingredients. Use serums with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, or Retinol for radiance and cell renewal, or a hair serum to counteract hair loss.
