A Skinroller is packed with tiny microneedles that gently penetrate the skin to stimulate cell growth and renewal. Just roll it smoothly over your problem areas! The roller's needles are crafted from the highest quality surgical steel.
Getting Started Guide
Learn the essentials of how Skinroller works, when to expect results, and how to start safely with the right setup.
What is a Skinroller and how does it work?
When can I expect to see results?
It depends on what you want to treat and how much regeneration your skin needs. The full process can take a few months, but you'll often spot visible changes after just one week! The top layer of your skin completely renews itself in about 40 days, meaning even a few sessions can make a huge difference.
How often should I use my Skinroller?
Some brands recommend microneedling at home several times a week—we strongly advise against this! Depending on the area, you shouldn't treat your skin more than 1-2 times a week with your Skinroller. For the best results, pair it 1-2 times a week with a high-quality serum. If you have sensitive skin, roll even less frequently.
Which needle size is right for me?
It depends on what you want to treat and how much regeneration your skin needs. The full process can take a few weeks, but you'll often spot visible changes after just one week! The top layer of your skin renews itself roughly every 40 days, meaning even a few sessions can make a huge difference.
Skinroller needles come in different sizes to penetrate the skin at different depths. Choose the size according to which part of the body you w
Can I use Skinroller for prevention?
Absolutely! Skinroller works wonders for preventive purposes, whether you're looking to tackle scars, stretch marks, cellulite, hair loss, or general skin imperfections.
Can I use a Skinroller during summer?
Yes, you can absolutely use your Skinroller during the summer! However, we highly recommend staying out of the sun for 24 hours after treatment. It's extra important to apply a good sunscreen (at least SPF 30) after using your Skinroller.
What’s the difference between a Dermaroller and a Skinroller?
Dermaroller and Skinroller are just two different names for the exact same thing—so there's no difference at all!
Can I use Skinroller if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
We recommend holding off on using your Skinroller during the first three months of pregnancy. Also, keep in mind that hormone surges can make your skin extra sensitive. Keep a close eye on how your skin reacts—if it feels too intense, take a break and wait until after pregnancy and breastfeeding to resume rolling.
What should I do after using my Skinroller?
First things first—always clean your roller with our recommended cleaning products! After rolling, apply a suitable serum and, if needed, a moisturizer. We suggest rolling right before bed so your skin has plenty of time to rest. The next morning, you can go about your normal skincare routine and safely apply makeup.
Just remember to avoid products that might irritate your fresh skin for the first few days, such as str
Is it normal for the skin to turn red after treatment?
It's totally normal for your skin to get a bit red after rolling—in fact, it's a great sign! It means we're achieving the desired effect, allowing your skin to better absorb the active ingredients from your serums and creams.
It's also super common for your skin to feel a little dry for a few days after. Make sure to double down on a deeply hydrating skincare routine!
How often should I replace my Skinroller and why?
We highly recommend replacing your Skinroller after about 10-12 uses. This is crucial for hygiene, but also ensures the microneedles stay perfectly sharp. Dull needles won't give you the results you want and can compromise safe, effective skin penetration.
How should I dispose of my used Skinroller?
Since the Skinroller is made of both plastic and metal components, it unfortunately can't be recycled right now.
Just toss your used Skinroller in your regular household waste (combustibles). We recommend wrapping it in some paper first to make sure no one gets accidentally scratched!
When should I avoid using a Skinroller?
Don't use a Skinroller if your skin is irritated, infected, sunburned, or if you have active rosacea, active acne, psoriasis, skin cancer, raised moles, warts, sores, actinic keratoses, or tattoos. If you have an undiagnosed skin condition, play it safe and avoid rolling.
You should also skip microneedling if you're taking antibiotics or medications that thin the skin, like Roaccutane or Tetralysal.
Finally, hold off on treatm
Can I clean my Skinroller with soap and water?
No, soap and water simply won't cut it when it comes to keeping your Skinroller bacteria-free.
Always use a cleaning spray containing at least 75% alcohol to properly disinfect it. We've got a few great options on our site! We highly recommend our Clean Dermaroller Cleansing spray, which you can grab here.
Can I replace just the needle head?
Not right now, unfortunately! We're looking into smarter solutions for the future, but for now, when your Skinroller PRO has done its job, you'll need to treat yourself to a brand new one.
Should I take breaks from using my Skinroller?
Yes! We recommend taking a solid 1-month break after using your Skinroller consistently for 3 months. Your skin needs time to rest, recover, and build itself back up.
