Pigmentation spots are also referred to as melasma, age spots, or sun spots in everyday language. There are a few different reasons why they appear. Common causes are sun exposure, hormonal shifts due to pregnancy, or inflammation as a result of Acne.

The spots themselves are harmless and occur when melanocytes, the cells that produce pigment, create too much melanin. You can also get white spots when the cells produce too little melanin. Especially if the pigmentation spots are on the face, many people wonder what they can do for home treatment to get rid of them.

Skinroller Works on Pigmentation Spots

"In the past, it looked like I had a constant shadow on my chin, but now you can barely see it, even when I'm not wearing makeup."

This is how one customer describes the result after their treatment. Microneedling is one of the most popular methods for treating pigmentation today. The treatment is done both in salons and at home with a Skinroller.

Skinroller is a type of Dermaroller, a skincare tool designed to stimulate the skin's regeneration of cells and Collagen. Using many tiny needles, small punctures are made in the skin, and when the skin starts repairing itself, a process is triggered that also addresses other skin concerns you want to combat, such as Wrinkles, acne scars, and even pigmentation spots.

Another positive aspect of the treatment is that the tiny holes created act as small channels, making it much easier for creams and serums to penetrate properly into the skin. So, for example, if you use a skin-brightening cream to treat your pigmentation spots, it will work much better after you have rolled.

It is simple, fast, and painless to use Skinroller. On cleansed skin, roll it a few times vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. Skinroller is available with different needle lengths, and for pigmentation spots, 0.5 mm is sufficient because it is a superficial issue.

Then you can massage a serum into your skin, and when it has dried, finish with a Day Cream or Night Cream. Perform the treatment twice a week. Let's finish by looking at two serums that, in combination with Skinroller, are powerful tools against pigmentation spots.

Choose the Right Serum for Pigmentation Spots

A Serum is a potent product packed with great ingredients, and you only need 2-3 drops for the entire face. It absorbs quickly into the skin and is best applied before moisturizing the face with your regular Face Cream.

Often, a serum is used to target a specific concern, like pigmentation spots in this case, and then the Face Cream is applied to provide moisture and Sunscreen. There are specifically two serums in our assortment that we recommend for the treatment of pigmentation spots, and those are serums containing Vitamin C and Retinol.

It should be added that if you roll with a Skinroller before applying your serum, the skin's absorption capacity of skincare ingredients increases by up to 200%.
