Dasha Grinie on mom life and skincare
Skinroller loves collaborating with girls who are just as crazy about skincare as we are! One of them is Dasha Girine, an influencer and new mom from Stockholm. We met on a sunny spring day and talked about skincare, mom life, and why hydration is a must for Dasha.
Slightly stressed, Dasha Girine and her son Atlas enter the restaurant. Dasha explains that mom life has been a major adjustment. But something that has had to give way is time for skincare.
– To be honest, my skin and hair routines have basically been non-existent for the past four months. I also miss being spontaneous, Dasha says.
When Dasha gets some alone time, she loves taking a bath and treating herself to a face mask. – Above all, I feel that when it's as dry outside as it is now, you really notice a difference if you scrub, exfoliate, and apply a hydrating mask.
Inspiration and early start in beauty
Dasha has been an active blogger for over ten years. She explains that her biggest inspiration when it comes to skincare is her mother, who got her on the right track early on.
– Mom is a huge beauty junkie; she got me on that track very early. That's when I found my own interest. Because of that, I could establish a routine, and now I have one, Dasha says.
Everyday glam and glow as a mom
We at Skinroller asked Dasha about her tricks for achieving that everyday glam and glow.
– Number one is that I feel my skin glows if I have clean hair. But mostly, I apply a lot of hydrating masks and serums. I really liked Skinroller's Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I also really like your Advanced Eye Serum. I thought it was very easy to blend with my concealer under the eyes.
Skincare tips for new moms
When you, as a mom, prefer skincare that takes less time, what should you prioritize?
– Always remove your makeup and use a serum as well as a day cream. If I have to pick one more thing, it would be a sleep mask that you wear overnight. I believe so much in washing off makeup; it's essential. Also, invest in under-eye pads and an eye serum that perks you up.
Home treatments with Skinroller
Dasha thinks Skinroller is a very good alternative and complement to salon treatments when time is short.
– You can really feel this when you roll it on your face. It doesn't hurt, but you can feel the tiny needles. Therefore, I believe it is a very good product that boosts your own collagen.
Best tips for a successful home treatment
– Make sure you have plenty of time and do everything in the bath. It's so much nicer, and you can lie there for a long time. Don't be afraid to mix different masks one after the other.
Results and expectations with Skinroller
Dasha focuses mainly on the results and is looking forward to seeing what the treatment does for her skin. She hopes, among other things, that Skinroller can help reduce the visibility of her hormonal breakouts and possibly a scar from her C-section.
